2019 Toyota Avalon

<p>There are four trim levels available with the 2019 Toyota Avalon: XLE, XSE, Limited, and Touring. Except for the Touring trim, all trims also feature a hybrid version. The base XLE and XLE Hybrid offer LED headlights and taillights, LED daytime running lights, heated power mirrors with turn signal and blind spot warning indicators, and 17-inch alloy wheels. The XSE and XSE Hybrid models boast a front piano-black grille with sport mesh insert, piano-black rear spoiler, and a power moonroof, but whereas the XSE features 19-inch alloy wheels, the Hybrid gets 18-inch alloys.</p> <p>The Limited and Limited Hybrid models boast 18-inch SuperChrome alloy wheels and a front chrome grille surround. The top Touring trim will give you 19-inch alloy wheels; heated, auto-dimming mirrors with turn signal and blind spot indicators and added memory features; and a dual, sport sound-tune exhaust with quad chrome tips.</p>

The Avalon features a 3.5-liter V-6 paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission that generates 301 horsepower and 267 pound-feet of torque. The hybrid models use an amazingly fuel-efficient 2.5-liter four-cylinder ECVT engine that generates 176 horsepower and 163 pound-feet of torque.

Overall, the Avalon gives a smooth ride, engines that provide plenty of power, and fuel economy that is better than most of its competitors. The new Avalon is designed with aerodynamics in mind: it features tangential vents on the sides of the front bumper, an available rear spoiler and rear diffuser, as well as underbelly panels, which all work together to increase fuel efficiency and provide you with a quiet, smooth ride.

<p>The Avalon boasts many luxurious materials, including leather, synthetic leather, and synthetic suede. It is also spacious, offering plenty of leg and hip room, and for your convenience, is equipped with first-rate tech features. The base trim alone has a lot to offer, featuring the Entune 3.0 Audio Plus with App Suite system with 9-inch display, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, SiriusXM, Siri Eyes Free, and Wi-Fi Connect; dual-automatic climate control; a backup camera; and 60/40 split-folding rear seats. </p> <p>Higher trims boast navigation, wood interior trims, heated front and rear seats, a heated steering wheel, wireless smartphone charging, leather-trimmed seats, Qi-compatible wireless smartphone charging, and ambient lighting.</p>

<p>Toyota not only offers a host of impressive security features but just about all of these are already present in the base trim. Standard safety features include a tire monitoring system, hill start assist, the Star Safety system, which includes enhanced vehicle stability control, traction control, brake assist, smart stop technology, blind spot monitor and rear cross-traffic alert, and 10 air bags. </p> <p>Then there is also the Toyota Safety Sense package that is included across all Avalon models. This package offers systems such as pre-collision with pedestrian detection, lane departure alert with steering assist, automatic high beams, and cruise control. </p>
