2019 Toyota 4Runner

<p>The 2019 Toyota 4Runner is available in nine trim levels: the base SR5, SR5 Premium, TRD Off-Road, TRD Off-Road Premium, Limited, Limited Nightshade Edition, and the range-topping TRD Pro. This SUV has not undergone a major restyling for almost a decade, but it continues to look aggressive and masculine with its sharp angles, squinty headlamps, and high front bumper.</p><p>All trims come standard with projector-beam headlights and LED taillights, both with smoked sport trim; integrated fog lamps; heated power mirrors; and unique badging. The TRD trims add accents to the bumpers and black-painted wheels, and the TRD Pro has a higher ground clearance and beefier roof rack. At the top of the lineup, the Limited features a distinctive front end with a chrome horizontal bar on its grille, and the Limited Nightshade Edition comes with black chrome grille accents, black door handles, and 20-inch split six-spoke wheels.</p>

<p>Whichever model you choose, the 2019 Toyota 4Runner is equipped with a 4.0-liter V-6 that serves up 270 horsepower and 278 pound-feet of torque. This engine is powerful enough for almost any driving situation - from merging with highway traffic to getting up a mountain pass - and enables the SUV to tow up to 5,000 pounds.</p><p>All 4Runner models use a five-speed automatic transmission. The SR5, Limited, and Limited Nightshade come standard with rear-wheel drive, but they can be fitted with four-wheel drive as an option. Four-wheel drive is standard on the TRD trims and the SR5 Premium.</p>

<p>The Toyota 4Runner feels somewhat like a truck on paved roads, but its large tires contribute to a smooth ride over bumps and road imperfections. While it offers a less refined ride than many of its rivals, it still makes a good daily driver. For better ride quality on the pavement, opt for the Limited.</p><p>The tune changes dramatically on off-road trails. Even the base SR5 has better off-road chops than most other midsize SUVs. If you drive off the beaten path frequently, you should get the TRD Off-Road or TRD Pro. The TRD Off-Road features a locking rear differential, crawl control system, off-road modes, and an optional off-road suspension setup. The TRD Pro, on the other hand, has Fox dual-reservoir shocks that significantly improve ride comfort at any speed, both on and off the road.</p>

<p>The 2019 Toyota 4Runner can seat five in the standard configuration and seven people with the available third row. Its cabin is spacious and features durable materials and well-bolstered seats.</p><p>The base SR5 comes standard with cloth upholstery, a power driver's seat, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, 6.1-inch infotainment system, voice-recognition capabilities, Bluetooth, satellite radio, HD radio, Siri Eyes Free, a USB port, and an eight-speaker sound system. Synthetic leather or leather upholstery, heated front seats, ventilated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, a sunroof, navigation, smartphone integration, and a 15-speaker audio system are available on higher trims.</p>

All the 2019 Toyota 4Runner trims come with a whole suite of standard safety features, including eight air bags, a rearview camera, and Toyota's Star Safety System, which comes with features like vehicle stability control, traction control, and Smart Stop Technology. The Limited trims add front and rear parking sensors.
