2021 Toyota Camry Hybrid

The 2021 Toyota Camry Hybrid is a midsize sedan offered in four trim levels: LE, XLE, SE, and XSE. Exterior equipment on the base LE trim includes automatic LED headlights, LED taillights and daytime running lights, a dark gray front grille, a single exhaust, and 16-inch steel wheels with styled wheel covers. The SE tacks on a set of 18-inch alloy wheels, a sport-tuned suspension, and sporty styling elements.

With the XLE, features include chrome exterior accents, heated side mirrors with integrated turn signal indicators, and an upgraded front grille. The all-new XSE is the sportiest of the bunch, boasting 19-inch wheels with lower-profile tires and glossy black trim on the front grille. A black-painted roof is available as an option.

All trim levels of the Camry Hybrid feature the same gas-powered hybrid powertrain beneath the hood, which includes a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and a lithium-ion battery. The combined output is 208 horsepower. The engine works with an electronically controlled continuously variable transmission that sends power to the front wheels. The 2021 Camry Hybrid is categorized as a super ultra-low emissions vehicle (SULEV).

The 2021 Camry Hybrid delivers a number of impressive performance elements, including responsive braking and quick acceleration. In speed testing, the vehicle went from zero to 60 mph in about eight seconds, which puts it slightly above other hybrid midsize sedans in the segment. This model is also great for commuting, thanks to its excellent efficiency and overall comfort.

Climb into the cabin of the base LE trim to find cloth upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control, a power-adjustable driver's seat, and keyless entry for the front doors. This vehicle also includes a six-speaker sound system, dual USB ports, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone integration, and a 7-inch touch screen. Several upgrades are available, including heated front seats, a 9-inch touch screen, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.

The SE trim adds simulated leather seats with fabric inserts. The XLE has most of the upgrades offered on the base LE, along with ambient interior lighting, leather upholstery, rear AC vents, and a power passenger seat. A premium audio system, a heated steering wheel, ventilated seats, and navigation are available as options. Choose the XSE and metal interior trim comes as standard equipment.

All four trim levels of the 2021 Camry Hybrid come equipped with Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+, which bundles pre-collision warning with pedestrian detection and automatic braking, lane departure alert with steering assist, lane-tracing assist, automatic high beams, full-speed range dynamic radar cruise control, and road sign assist. An optional Driver Assist package includes a head-up display, rear automatic braking, and a surround-view camera system. The XLE and XSE trims also come with blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert as standard equipment.
