2022 Toyota Tundra

The base Tundra is the SR5. It has 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, LED taillights, heated and power-adjustable side mirrors, and an easy-lower-and-lift tailgate. It also comes with a tow package, LED fog lights, and adjustable tie-down cleats in the bed. The Limited is up next in the lineup, with 20-inch alloy wheels and integrated turn signals in the heated and power-adjustable side mirrors. It also has an electronic locking fuel door. A step above the Limited is the Platinum. This model comes with premium LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, and a panoramic sunroof.

An all-new TRD Pro is now part of the lineup. It has 18-inch BBS alloy wheels, all-terrain tires, an off-road suspension, and Fox shocks. A 1974 Edition will also be available as part of the 2022 lineup.

The base engine for the 2022 Tundra is a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V-6. It develops 389 horsepower and generates 479 pound-feet of torque. A new 3.5-liter twin-turbo hybrid powertrain is newly available for 2022, making 437 horsepower and generating 583 pound-feet of torque.

Rear-wheel drive comes standard with all models except the TRD Pro, which only has four-wheel drive. A two-speed transfer case also comes standard. The new double-wishbone suspension makes the Tundra lighter than before, smoothing out on-road rides and helping this truck tackle off-road terrain. When equipped, some of the Tundra trims can tow up to 12,000 pounds and carry up to 1,660 pounds in the bed.

The 2022 Tundra has room for five. It comes standard with cloth upholstery and manually-adjustable front seats. The SR5 adds synthetic leather upholstery or you can step up to the Limited for heated and cooled front seats. The Platinum has genuine leather upholstery, along with ambient lighting, and a power rear window is available.

An 8-inch touch screen houses the infotainment system in the lower trims, with a 14-inch touch screen available as an option in the SR4 and standard in the higher-end models. The higher trims also have a 12.3-inch fully digital information display in front of the driver. The infotainment system gets an upgrade for 2022 too, and features an all-new Human Machine Interface (HMI), an advanced system to heighten your interaction through touch, sight, and voice-activation.

Every 2022 Tundra will have a full suite of driver safety aids. The bundle includes forward collision alert, automatic braking, adaptive cruise control, active lane control, and automatic high beam headlights. Hill-start assist also comes standard, along with a rear-seat reminder. Some of the optional safety features that are available depending on the trim include a blind-spot monitor, side mirror cameras, rear cross-traffic alert, and a 360-degree surround-view camera system.
