2023 Toyota GR Supra

The 2023 Toyota GR Supra is a two-seat sports car offered in four trim levels: 2.0, 3.0, 3.0 Premium, and a new A91-MT special edition. The three trims above the 2.0 use a 3.0-liter engine, but the standard 2.0 model is also quite impressive. The stylish two-door design illuminates the road ahead with LED Daytime Running Lights and two-level, six-lens cluster headlights with automatic leveling. LED taillights are standard, and a wind-slicing underbody panel improves aerodynamics.

The GR Supra provides good visibility for the driver and passenger. That being said, prepare for that extra-low-riding, sports car feel the second you lean into the cabin. Wheel options include 18-inch split-spoke to 19-inch Frozen Gunmetal Gray aluminum wheels.

A track-dominating beast, the new GR Supra's turbocharged engine can switch in and out of several drive settings. The GR Supra 2.0 has 255 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. The 3.0 model's twin-scroll turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6 engine produces 382 horsepower and 368 pound-feet of torque. The standard transmission is an eight-speed automatic, but the A91-MT combines the 3.0-liter engine's benefits with the new six-speed manual transmission for drivers who seek the ultimate traditional driving experience.

It's no surprise that the GR Supra's best feature is how it performs, bearing two powerful, yet surprisingly efficient engines and a growling cat-back exhaust. The four-cylinder turbocharged GR Supra is the most economical, with EPA ratings of 25 city mpg and 32 highway mpg. The more powerful 3.0-liter engine's efficiency figures are also quite strong for the sports car segment: 23/31 city/highway mpg for the automatic and 19/27 city/highway mpg for the manual 3.0.

When powered by the 2.0-liter engine, the 2023 Toyota GR Supra can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in five seconds flat. That's more than enough to satisfy Supra enthusiasts, but the more powerful 3.0-liter twin-scroll single-turbo powerplant will accelerate from zero to 60 mph in an astounding 3.9 seconds.

Appointed in high-quality and soft-touch materials throughout, the GR Supra's pleasant cabin gives the passenger just as much to appreciate as the driver. Deeply bolstered sport seats pair with console-mounted side knee padding to keep you secure against a hard turn. Forgoing a central dash touch screen, the GR Supra houses an 8.8-inch high-resolution display as a digital gauge cluster and infotainment hub. The leather-wrapped, tilt/telescopic steering wheel's controls are easy to use. Apple CarPlay, 12 JBL audio speakers, built-in navigation, and wireless charging are all standard.

Pre-collision systems with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning with steering assist, automatic high beams, and speed limit information are just a few of the features included standard on the GR Supra. The available driver assist package adds blind-spot monitoring, lane-keep assist, and adaptive cruise control. Other safety features include optional front and rear parking sensors and roadside assistance.
