2023 Toyota Tundra

You can choose among numerous configurations with the 2023 Toyota Tundra. The truck has seven trims: SR, SR5, Limited, Platinum, 1794 Edition, TRD Pro, and Capstone. It comes in two cabin styles, the Double and Crew, both of which seat five people. The Tundra is also available in three different bed lengths: short (5-feet-6-inches), standard (6-feet-6-inches), and long (8-feet-1-inch). You can get the standard bed with either size cab, the long bed comes with the Double Cab, and the short bed is exclusive to the Crew Cab.

The previous Toyota Tundra models used a V-8 engine, but there's a good chance you won't miss it with either of the powerful V-6 engines now available. The smooth and quiet twin-turbo 3.5-liter engine produces between 348 and 389 horsepower, depending on the trim. The other V-6 engine is a hybrid setup with an electric motor that cranks out a combined 437 horsepower. Both engines use a 10-speed automatic transmission to send power to the rear wheels, but four-wheel drive is also available.

What sets the 2023 Toyota Tundra apart from the outgoing model is the vehicle's suspension. It previously sat on traditional leaf springs, but it now has a coil-spring suspension, which helps the vehicle stabilize when you turn corners and absorb any bumps in the road you might encounter. Depending on the configuration, the Tundra has a maximum towing capacity of 12,000 pounds.

In the past, full-size pickup trucks had a reputation for looking more like work trucks than luxury vehicles, but the 2023 Toyota Tundra hopes to remove those misconceptions. Its interior has a more streamlined and modern aesthetic, but it also maintains the work-ready aspect with a massive center console.

Both the standard 8-inch and optional 14-inch touchscreen displays are intuitive and allow you to access the infotainment system easily. If you prefer physical controls, you can use them to change the audio and climate settings. Key standard features include a Wi-Fi hotspot, navigation, a virtual assistant, three USB ports, and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. Available technology upgrades include additional USB ports, two 12-volt household-style outlets, and wireless smartphone charging. One noticeable feature is the addition of an optional 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, which provides a variety of driving information via a simple layout.

Regardless of whether you're using the 2023 Tundra for work or pleasure, you want a vehicle that keeps everyone safe.
