Concept i Ride ‐ Wheelchair User‐Friendly Vehicle Designed for those who use wheelchairs, the Concept i Ride is a two‐seater car that also happens to be electric. Thanks to the gull‐wing doors that open upwards (unlike traditional side opening car doors) wheelchair users are able to navigate their way into the vehicle without problems. The sliding electric i Ride's seat guarantees an easy entry for both the driver and the user's wheelchair. The i Ride also has enough space to fit in a folded wheelchair in the back. Instead of a steering wheel, the i Ride has a joystick, along with an accelerator and brake pedals. The driver is not alone, however, as an AI agent is present to help navigate roads and provide useful information such as locations of wheelchair‐friendly establishments and parking spots.
