Combining Technology with a Great Drive: Toyota Entune

blog 13
Do you have a newer Toyota that features Toyota Entune? If so, are you aware of all that you can do with this technology? A simple way to understand Entune is to imagine your car's display screen functioning as your smartphone and keeping your hands free for driving. As great as that sounds, Entune has many more functions, and if it is a new feature for you, you probably aren't aware of all that it can do. Here's a little cheat sheet to help you get the most out of your Entune. Before you get started, you need to download the Entune app to your smartphone and sync your phone up with your vehicle. Once this is in place, get ready for some fun.

iHeart Radio

Have you ever moved from one city to another and lost your connection to your favorite radio stations? Now, with the iHeart Radio app, you can connect to more than 750 AM/FM stations from all around the country. Your display screen will not only play the songs from the radio but also list the song's name, identify the artist, and display art from the album. All of this improves your music listening experience.

MovieTickets.com

Are you ever driving around with friends looking for something to do, when all of a sudden you decide to go to a movie? But what movie? Where? Will there still be tickets? Now you can go to the MovieTickets.com app in Entune, look up movie times, find reviews, and buy tickets. It can't get much easier than doing all of that from your car.

OpenTable

Hungry? Select the OpenTable app and search for area restaurants. It will sort restaurants by cuisine and price range. You can read reviews, get hours of operation, and even book a reservation. Then connect to your Navigation and get turn-by-turn directions to the restaurant. You'll never not know where to eat again.

Fuel Prices

Whether you are in an unfamiliar city or your home town, you may or may not know where the closest gas station is. More importantly, you may or may not know which station offers the best fuel prices. Click on the Fuel Prices app to quickly see a list of nearby stations and their current fuel rates. Once you see the station you want to visit, click on its name, and you will immediately be given turn-by-turn directions to help you there.

Weather

Whether you are traveling or just wondering if you need to bring a coat, the weather app is there to help you. You can see the current weather in your city or anywhere else you may be headed. Extended forecasts are available, as well as radar maps that allow you to see what you are headed into. Any weather-related driving restrictions will be posted to ensure that you are prepared for your travels. Now that you know more about your Entune technology, you can head out to your Toyota and start enjoying all that you have at your fingertips.
