Technology
The standard infotainment system features an 8-inch Toyota Audio Multimedia touchscreen that allows users to access wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone integration and Bluetooth music streaming and hands-free calls. A 12.3-inch display is optional on the XLE trim and standard on the Limited, which also sports an 8-speaker JBL premium sound system.
A host of advanced driver assists called the Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) 3.0 system has been included with every Prius. Along with pre-collision monitoring and lane departure alerts, TSS 3.0 comes with adaptive cruise control, a road sign detection system, and Toyota’s Proactive Driving Assist (PDA). PDA is capable of using the car’s camera and radar to determine subtle adjustments to steering and braking for maintaining a safe distance with other cars.
