The Prius Prime uses a combination of a 1.8-liter Atkinson engine and two electric motors powered by an 8.8-kilowatt lithium ion battery. It can get to a top speed of 84 miles per hour, and it charges the battery while you drive in just two hours.
The Toyota Sequoia
A trip to the water often means bringing the whole gang. The Toyota Sequoia is a three-row SUV with either rear-wheel or four-wheel drive that will get everyone to the water. Keep the seats up to haul passengers, or lay them down to expose 120.1 cubic feet of cargo space — enough for almost any kind of gear you need to bring. The Sequoia comes standard with a roof rack complete with crossbars so you can get your surfboard or your kayak up there no matter what the size.
