2. Ocean View Beach
Ocean View Beach is one of the leading hotspots for family outings in Norfolk. The beach is located along an eight-mile stretch of the stunning Chesapeake Bay. You’ll find plenty of free parking and room to really have a quiet, calming experience by the water. If you want to make it a family day out or enjoy a date, there’s no need to carry food because you’ll find restaurants, cafés, and other places to eat around the beach and park.
3. Norfolk Botanical Garden
Head on over to Norfolk Botanical Garden for an afternoon tour of the museum. It’s a great place to explore and learn more about the city’s history. The Garden is situated right next to Norfolk International Airport at 6700 Azalea Garden Road and opens daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

This Chinese restaurant located at 9645 1st View Street in Norfolk boasts some of the best sushi and steamed dumplings around! That’s not all, though, as you also get to enjoy this deliciousness while overlooking a picturesque scene of Ocean View. It truly is a spectacular experience dining in front of such an awe-inspiring view.
5. Grain Bar
If you’re looking for a bar to kick back in and enjoy some classic beers with the fellas then this is the place for you. Situated at 100 E Main Street, Grain Bar is the premier choice when looking for a hangout with a fabulous ambiance, gorgeous waterside views, and great company. The bar opens Monday to Thursday from 3 p.m. to 12 a.m., then Friday from 3 p.m. to 2 a.m, Saturday 12 p.m. to 2 a.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
There are scores of places to enjoy bayside views in Norfolk. Two things you must make sure to see are a sunrise and a sunset over the bay.
