Obey the Speed Limit

Driving the speed limit will not only ensure your safety, but it will also help to keep you away from speeding tickets and potential accidents.
Keep Your Phone Hidden
We know that this might be hard to do, but you need to ignore your phone while driving. That phone call, text message, or email can wait. Why? In terms of safety, using a cell phone (even hands-free) while driving is equivalent to driving while intoxicated, which can lead to fatal accidents. Plus, some cities and states now have laws prohibiting the use of cell phones when driving. Getting caught could lead to a hefty fine.

While this may seem counter-intuitive, more often than not, obvious car maintenance tasks and safety measures can easily be forgotten and lead to impaired driving. Always wearing your seat belt, keeping a clean windshield, properly adjusting headrests and mirrors, and keeping your hands at the 3 and 9 o’clock position on the steering wheel can help to increase your safety when driving.
